Lightbulb Ideas welcome (Halloween party thing)!
This Halloween, I'm going to be have a "Edger Allen Poe Fest", and besides reading some of his stories, I'm not sure what to do for the event. Any tips or suggestions are welcome

Are there themes you could carry over into Guild Wars? For instance a scavenger hunt for items from Poe's works with a Tyrian twist? Most ghastly/thematic costume contest?

I'm with Freebies, I don't really know enough about Poe to suggest that much. :/

They have links to all his works on Wikipedia. But huh, a scavenger hunt, I'll look into that.

Add a raven and don't entomb any cat! Nevermore.. Nevermore..

I'm a fan of Poe but uhm.. Well dunno really, what do you wanna do? Like, use TextMod to enrich some town with an Alan-Poe-kind-o-thing?

Well, if doing a Halloween event, you need a sort of "centerpiece"-the thing to get everyone hyped up about. If i refer to last years Horrorween (as I always do), the staff made a Wicker Ritual-although, from my memory, nothing was given away during this ritual, it was the event highlight. I cant help you decide that, because that should be your complete decision.

As for idea, keep listening to Thriller and I am sure you will think of something. I have been listening to it 3 times daily every day for the last 4-5 months, and I have come up with lots of ideas.

The ritual included giving away votive candles/spirit wood and other fun stuff =]

As far as Ideas go, think up some classic activities to include everyone, maybe a trivia contest on the forums maybe?

if this event gets kicked off and going, ill be glad to provide you with screenshots ^^. as long as it doesnt interfer with OoPs event for halloween, if they have one.

also since it seems a literature dude, i would reccomend you make a thread EXCLUSIVELY for the event and have a contest, let people make up a storie with halloween and guild wars. ^^. or something like that...as one of the parts to the event
